Nestled between the Swan River and the city, East Perth has pulled off the remarkable real estate coup of being a quiet suburb with a charming mix of architectural styles and residential options, right on the city’s doorstep.

The centrepiece of the suburb is Claisebrook Village, a 137-hectare area bounded by Summers Street to the north and Wellington Street to the south, which is home to one of Perth’s first medium density residential projects.

When the redevelopment started in 1992, Claisebrook Village was WA’s largest inner-city urban renewal project and with a master-planned community that included a new style of residential
density arranged around nearly 22 hectares of parkland and open spaces, it also introduced a new way of living to Perth. T
oday, tree-lined streets, an expansive foreshore and a mix of townhouses, apartments and freestanding homes occupy what was once industrial land next to the CBD.
