A good strata manager is one of the centerpieces of apartment living. Because of their design, all owners contribute to the management of an apartment complex and while the council of owners sets the maintenance agenda, the efficient management of pooled finances is when a good strata manager really stands out.

As one of the biggest strata managers in Perth, Colliers International has developed an online platform that provides a transparent record of a building’s finances and management decisions. In fact, the system was a key factor in Colliers recently securing the strata contract for Perth’s biggest, mixed-use strata development—the 499 apartments at Queens Riverside and the 236 serviced apartments at Fraser Suites Perth.

Colliers International’s Associate Director eCommerce Claire Normanton said strata buildings were becoming more common as Perth responds to infill and density pressures.
“The Colliers’ platform gives electronic access to a whole range of management information about a building, its maintenance, income and expenditure and document management system,” Ms Normanton says. “Individual owners can securely view their own financial records and more detailed information is available to the council of owners who can also use the platform as an efficient way of communicating with owners and relaying management requests directly to the strata manager, including facility bookings.”

Ms Normanton says Colliers’ ePlatinum Strata Service also offers residents and owners online access to a range of services including cleaning, maintenance and laundry from pre-approved contractors.
