Zone Q is betting on a long-term future in Perth’s apartment market and has made a high-profile start with a landmark tower in South Perth.

The international developer entered Australia’s property market in 2013 with the purchase of adjoining lots on the corner of Charles Street and Labouchere Road for Pinnacle South Perth, a 20-storey luxury apartment tower designed by Hassell Architects. “Perth was an investment priority for Zone Q because we could see the city offered growth and opportunity,” says Zone Q Director Melinda Wang.

“Housing prices are reasonable and there will be space for development opportunities for years to come.” Overlooking the lush gardens of Perth Zoo, the Swan River and the city skyline, Pinnacle apartments sold quickly to Perth buyers who were keen to secure a high-rise address in South Perth. In addition to the well-timed entrance into the market, Ms Wang says South Perth’s access to the freeway, its river-front parkland, local amenity and a ferry service connecting it to the CBD, were all important selling features for the Pinnacle project.

“The design takes full advantage of the unique vistas with large floor-to-ceiling windows and doors and oversized balconies for year-round use,” Ms Wang says. “Most of the two-bedroom apartments have city and river views and our working partners on this project, architects, builders, engineers and consultants were all first-tier companies.”
